Car Wrecks and Poetry :-)

Okay so here is the deal. I just started tech at school and it's a lot cooler than I thought. We get to do animation stuff and engineering. But a B+ for me in math. A's all the way in everything else. today a car accident happened right in front of me! We missed the bus (me, chloe, and selena) so we were walking back to ask my dad for a ride. But then we heard this clanging noise so we looked down the road. A car was sandwiched in between two other cars. We ran across the street and asked the teenage boy who was in the sandwiched car what happened. he said that he was pulling out onto the road and a girl ran into him from behind. another boy ran into him in the front too. He said he got hit twice in like five seconds. I felt so bad for him! but all the people were teenagers.

In other news, i have posted some poetry of mine below!

Forgiveness and Rainclouds
I don’t know why I did that
It really wasn’t my fault
 It was Your wrong,
It was Your bad,
Sorry, Sorry, Sorry
But you shouldn’t be
Forgiveness comes in
Rainclouds,
Drifting off in your general direction
Raining down in sheets
Will you forgive me?
Yes/No/Maybe/I don’t know yet
It takes a while to sink in
And regain what you’ve lost
But the wounds are healing
The shouting has calmed
The storm has nearly ended
It will be finished soon
It will take time
To be comfortable again
To speak and laugh normally again
To be what you were again
To recover
Forgiveness comes in rainclouds
Drifting off in your general direction
Raining down in sheets
Will you forgive me?
Yes.
I will.

Another one of my favorites!

I Remember

I remember hearing the sounds of the TV late at night as I lay in bed
and the smell of fish sticks lingering in the kitchen
long after lunch
and I remember the legos scattered along the carpet
and my brother at my side
that time I was and architect
I remember feeling the green grass
beneath my tiny toes
and the cool summer breeze blowing through my hair
I remember laying on the bricks just below my fireplace
and staring out the window at the white flakes falling
they were beautiful then
and every fall the leaves would change without warning
I didn’t know why
but it was magical
beautiful and serene
I remember Papa driving the lawn mower
back and forth across the lawn
and me and my cousins playing along the edge of the pond
trying to see the tadpoles
and I remember sitting in the old treehouse
trying to keep out the “tigers” from our fort
I was free then
and young
and fearless
but that was yesterday

And now for a final Haiku

Clouds are covering the sky
Dark blue crevasses
Surrounded by twinkling lights

So there is some poetry. I hope you like it!

Catch you on the flipside homies!
Katie
